Meet Dana and Zeus Rodriguez

Founders of Virtualis: School for Classical Learning

Dana and Zeus Rodriguez Family

We’re Dana and Zeus Rodriguez—a husband-and-wife team with over 20 years of experience in education, healthcare, and community leadership. But more importantly, we’re parents who have walked the long and winding road of raising children in today’s world.

Like many of you, we once assumed the traditional brick-and-mortar school path was the best—or only—option for our children. But as we watched the system shift, values erode, and our children’s formation fall increasingly into the hands of institutions misaligned with our beliefs, we knew something had to change. So we made a bold move: we brought our children home.

At first, this decision was based on conviction, instinct, and a desire to reclaim our family’s influence. But over time, our vision matured. Through deep study and prayer, we discovered the beauty and brilliance of classical education—a model rooted in virtue, formation, and the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. We only wish we had known about it sooner.

Our children were already well into their academic journeys by the time we found classical education. While they couldn’t be fully immersed in the classical tradition during their formative years, they are now embracing its principles as young adults—studying theology and philosophy at a classical Catholic college. Watching them grow has affirmed for us what we suspected all along: this is the education we would choose for every child if given the chance.

That’s why we founded Virtualis—to give other families what we wish we had earlier: a world-class classical education that is faithful, flexible, and rooted in holistic human formation. We’ve designed Virtualis to be a place where families are not forced to choose between academic rigor and Christian conviction, between health and holiness, or between online access and traditional virtue. It’s all integrated—by design.

Meet Dana Rodriguez

Dana Rodriguez

Dana brings her expertise as a licensed Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a PhD in Nursing, blending years of clinical experience with a deep commitment to the moral and spiritual formation of the young. Over the course of her career, she has served families not only as a trusted healthcare provider, but also as an educator and mentor—helping parents navigate the intersection of medicine, faith, and virtue. This distinctive fusion of healthcare and moral philosophy inspired the creation of the Vitae Formation Program at Virtualis, which Dana personally designed.

Vitae is not a conventional health class—it is a comprehensive human formation track that integrates physical education, Christian bioethics, nutrition, movement, adolescent development, and access to pediatric telemedicine through Dana’s own clinical practice. Under her guidance, students learn to care for their bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit, understand the ethical complexities of modern healthcare, and live virtuously in a culture that too often separates health from holiness.

Meet Zeus Rodriguez

Zeus Rodriguez

Zeus brings decades of leadership in educational policy, school administration, and civic engagement, with a national reputation for advancing school choice and empowering underserved communities. He served as president of the largest Catholic K–12 school in the country, leading it through a period of historic growth, renewal, and faith-based revitalization. His work in parental choice policy has shaped legislation, supported families across socioeconomic lines, and helped reimagine the role of the parent as the primary educator.

Drawing on his experience in governance, fundraising, and program design, Zeus built the broader framework for Virtualis, ensuring that every aspect of the school—from its classical academic core to its health and wellness initiatives—aligns with a unified mission of truth, virtue, and family empowerment. Together with Dana, he leads Virtualis as a bold response to the fragmentation of modern education and healthcare—offering families a fully integrated model that honors both the mind and the body, the home and the school, the past and the future.

Together, We Offer Not Just a School, But a Movement
